We have a fantastic opportunity for a Design Manager to join our Marketing Department on a full-time permanent basis, located at Caulfield Racecourse. In this role, you’ll lead the visual identity of Melbourne Racing Club and its associated products and campaigns.
Working collaboratively across the business, you’ll develop and deliver creative art and design assets that effectively support our commercial, marketing, and communication objectives.

What will your responsibilities be?
- Lead creative direction and oversee production across all racing and non-racing campaigns
- Develop bold, audience-focused campaigns from concept to completion that reflect current trends
- Build and refine scalable design processes that enable collaboration and consistency
- Review campaign performance and apply insights to continually elevate creative work
- Manage workflows, briefs, budgets, freelancers, and production timelines to ensure smooth delivery
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external collaborators to achieve aligned creative outcomes
- Mentor and inspire the design team, fostering a culture of creativity, growth, and shared ideas
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design, Creative Industries, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, including project and team management
- Proven experience leading a design team
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, and related creative technologies
- Experience in UX/UI principles, social media design, and animation (highly desirable)
- Experience in sports or events and general racing knowledge advantageous
- Understanding of branding principles
- Excellent communication, management and leadership skills
